Welcome to Tamwerks.net, a landing page for me, Alex Tam. I've decided I need to claim my stake of the web with a webiste so here it is. This website will act as my portfolio to show off websites and other projects I've worked on. I believe in hand-coding my websites because it produces leaner, faster-loading code. I am all about efficiency and elegance. It's the result of being trained as a computer scientist. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Nevada, Reno.

My day job entails writing software in C++ in Visual Studio. Some of the software I wrote include testing software for FPGA mezzanine cards, fiber optic visualization, and a schematic editor. During my off time, I work with my best friend, Kevin Grant, on a programming blog and Android applications. I mainly provide C++ tips and tricks to the blog and graphics for the Android apps. I like the balance of working on code for my day job and then working on creative things like writing and art when I go home.

Below are links to various projects I've worked on through the years. I've had fun working on all of the projects. Some were more tedious than others, but you work hard to play hard.
